EOC Score Policy Change
Students enrolled in Algebra 1, Intermediate Algebra, Biology 1, English 1, English 2, and/or United States History are required to participate in the End-of-Course (EOC) exams, which normally count for 20% of the student’s final grade in the course. For this year only, the South Carolina State Department of Education is allowing individual districts and charter schools to determine how the score will count. The MMC Board of Directors has determined the EOC exams will count for 10% of the student’s final grade. For first semester courses, the exams will be administered on January 14 (Algebra) and January 15 (History).

MMC Television Commercial Filming
Next Wednesday, December 16, a small crew will be on our campus to film a short television commercial promoting our school. If you do NOT want your child to appear in the video, please let us know before Wednesday. The commercial will be released over the winter break – please share with any friends or family who may be interested in enrolling for the spring semester!
Food Drive for Mission Lexington
We have extended our food drive for Mission Lexington through next week. Any five nonperishable items will earn students a ticket for the next prize drawing, which includes an opportunity for a longer lunch! A few teachers are also awarding extra credit for donated items. Let’s show our community our generous spirit!
If you have not yet met with our counselors for your Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) meeting, please click this link to sign up for your appointment. All students in both 11th and 12th grades will have this meeting, and parents are highly encouraged to participate. Meetings can be held virtually, if you prefer.
Our first semester classes will end Friday, January 15. Students will have two additional PLT sessions to recover absences for first-semester classes. January 29 is the final deadline.
MMC will be closed December 21 through January 1 for Winter Break. Students and staff return on Monday, January 4.
