Spring Dual Enrollment
Many of our students are eligible to take FREE dual-enrollment classes through Midlands Tech. If you are interested in taking college classes in the spring, see Mr. Whatley. All paperwork is due this Friday, November 1.
College Tour – Winthrop
Our counselors will take a group of students to tour Winthrop University in Rock HIll, SC on Wednesday, November 13. See Mr. Whatley for a permission form.
Habitat for Humanity
The Interact Club will participate in a community service project through Habitat for Humanity on Friday, November 22. Permission forms will be available at the club meeting this Wednesday, and are due back to Mrs. Girolamo by November 20.
Seniors planning to participate in the June graduation ceremony should order their cap, gown, diploma, tickets, etc. The graduation order form is attached here, and printed copies are available in the office. Return the form and payment by October 30 for earliest shipment. We will place a second order in the spring.
We are actively working and planning for our prom which will be held on April 3, 2020 at the Chickawa Center at Saluda River Club. This year’s theme will be Enchanted Garden.
Fundraisers have begun. Boo Grams are being sold this week (Monday-Thursday) 10:30-11:00 and at lunch for $1.00. Chick-fil-A sales are taking place on Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 for $5.00.
The next planning meeting for parents will be Wednesday, November 6th (next week) at 4:30 pm in room 124. Students will meet again on November 14 at 10:20 in room 124.
We are “kicking off” spirit week at MMC with crazy socks today. Plan ahead for the rest of the week:
Tuesday: Sleepy Spirit Day (wear pajamas)
Wednesday: Spirit of Kindness Day (bring nonperishable goods for Harvest Hope & perform acts of kindness)
Thursday: Spooky Spirit Day (school-appropriate Halloween costumes)
Friday: Team Spirit Day (wear college/team colors)
