Midlands Middle College is proud to partner with Midlands Education and Business Alliance (MEBA) to deliver the “Fostering Excellence in Female Leadership” series, which was kicked off on March 24th at Columbia College. Eleven juniors from Midlands Middle College traveled to the campus to meet with Dr. Chris LaCola and Jen Hunsicker from the Center for Leadership. The girls learned about the four steps of leadership and their own personal identities through True Colors, a fun interactive activity that explored their personalities and unique strengths.
After lunch in the cafeteria, the girls toured the college campus and had the opportunity to learn about college life and the many programs and activities available to students at Columbia College.
Sisters of Charity awarded Midlands Middle College a grant that makes this series possible. These events will help these young women develop leadership skills and enable them to be competitive in college and later in the careers of their choice.
